Robert Powell

Robert Powell is a practitioner, academician and writer whose architecture and master planning is driven by a strong emphasis on respect for the existing ecology. reinforcing biodiversity and establishing a network of habitats. He was formerly the Project Director and Head of Eco master planning with Llewelyn Davies Yeang, a post he held from 2007 to 213. Prior to that, he was an Associate Professor in the School of Architecture at NUS. He has authored and edited more than 30 books on architecture mainly on Southeast Asia. Some of his major works include The Modern Thai House, The New Indonesian House, Modern Tropical Architecture and The Tropical Asian House.
