Gurjit Singh Matharoo

Gurjit Singh Matharoo has been appointed as Professor and Area Chair for Architectural Design in the Faculty of Architecture. He has joined in this position from 21st December 2015. He has been teaching as visiting faculty since 1991 both at CEPT University and at NID. After Gurjit Singh Matharoo completed his B.Arch. at CEPT University, he worked in the office of Michele Arnaboldi and Giorgio Guschetti in Ticino, Switzerland. He founded Matharoo Associates in Ahmedabad, India in 1991. The firm has won both domestic and international critical acclaim. The work of Matharoo Associates has received numerous international awards and is widely published. In 2012 he was conferred the title of International Fellow of Royal Institute of British Architects (IntFRIBA). He is only the third Indian architect to be inducted in this fellowship. Gurjit Singh Matharoo is well known for his inspiring materialization and search of cutting edge architectural solutions. Our students will learn a lot from his vast realized work of innovative architecture and design expressions.
