Adnan Morshed

Adnan Morshed is an architect, architectural historian, urbanist, and columnist. He teaches at the School of Architecture and Planning, Catholic University of America, Washington, DC, and is currently serving as Chairperson of the Department of Architecture, BRAC University, Dhaka. He received his Ph.D. and Master’s in architecture from MIT, and BArch from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, where he also taught. He authored multiple books. Among them, Impossible Heights: Skyscrapers, Flight, and the Master Builder (University Minnesota Press, 2015), Oculus: A Decade of Insights into Bangladeshi Affairs (2012), DAC, Dhaka in 25 Buildings (2017), and River Rhapsody: A Museum of Rivers and Canals (2018). His ongoing design work includes BRAC Regional Offices across Bangladesh. Recently he was a TEDx speaker at the George Washington University in Washington, DC.
