Vishwanath Kashikar

Vishwanath Kashikar is a Professor and is currently the undergraduate program coordinator at the Faculty of Architecture, CEPT University. He completed his B. Arch degree from CEPT University in 2000 and an M.A. (Arch) by research degree at NUS, Singapore in 2007. He has been a visiting faculty at CEPT since 2002 and joined as a full time faculty in 2008. His main area of interest in urban housing and he has conducted and guided several research projects related to housing. He has also been associated with various international housing and habitat workshops over the past few years. His current areas of interest include the idea of domesticity in the Indian context and the impact of flexibility in urban housing design. Over the years, he has also been associated as a practicing architect in various offices and his list of works include housing projects, individual residences, and other commercial projects.
